Blink 182's New Music Album Neighborhoods - Video Review

‘Neighborhoods’ is the studio album by the pop punk band Blink-182, it was released as their sixth album on September 27, 2011 through DGC Records and Interscope Records. Blink-182 is an American rock band consisting of vocalist and bass guitarist Mark Hoppus, vocalist and guitarist Tom DeLonge, and drummer Travis Barker.

They have sold over 27 million albums worldwide since forming in Poway, California in 1992. The pop-punk demigods' cliff walk between teenage bedroom angst and been-there-survived-that worldliness remains steadfast, but the peaks on ‘Neighborhoods’ their first disc in eight years - do little more than recall past triumphs. Outside of some latent goth leanings and a gauzy detour, it's mostly twitch-crunch-whine-repeat.

The lyrics focus on moving on, but their music can't seem to break the tether to yesterday. The band's studio autonomy, tours, managers and personal projects stalled the recording process, which lasted from shortly after the band's February 2009 reunion to July 2011.
